Health Tech Hub - the industrial medical sector / academia Knowledge Exchange

Since its inauguration in July 2005 the Health Tech Hub has gone from strength to strength.  Numerous industrial companies with an interest in the medical sector have attended individual Health Tech Hub (HTH) events. The Hub is an inter-disciplinary initiative led by the Faculty of Health at the University of Central Lancashire.  Partners involved in the HTH include:-

• Advanced Manufacturing Group
• Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council
• University of Central Lancashire

The Hub is guided by a strong steering committee with individuals from; Medical Device Innovations; Urban Development International (London); BMS Transpack: CDSS (Macclesfield) and the Supply Chain for Cumbria and Lancashire Procurement.  In addition to the Hub partners, the steering committee is also represented by  TrusTECH (part of the NHS Innovation Hub network) and Medilink North West, with Advanced Manufacturing Group providing input regarding the requirements of its’ industrial members.
